Forced Marriages in UK on the increase

  Muslim women : face higher risk from domestic abuse (Quran4:34 says; beat your wife), Islamism, honor killling, and now : forced marriages & arranged marriages. 

2,089 children have vanished from schools in FORCED MARRIAGE AREAS

THE number of British Asians bringing in spouses from the Indian subcontinent has doubled over five years, prompting warnings that the practice is helping to perpetuate ghettos. Instead of integrating over successive generations by marrying in the UK, some Asian communities are fuelling segregation through arranged marriages to overseas partners, according to a report by Migration Watch UK, an independent think tank.

Jusna Begum, 22, from Wapping, east London, was forced by her parents to marry a man from Bangladesh 20 years her senior. “I realise now that he only married me for a UK visa,” she said. “But he couldn’t get a job because he didn’t speak English.”

Western Muslims who are Raised to Hate

 Remember the Honor Killing of two teenage Muslim girls in Dallas (Amina & Sarah Said, photo above), murdered by their father for rejecting ‘Islamic’ lifestyle ? Now, their great-aunt spills the beans :

“It’s another face of jihad. These men come here from Egypt, they marry American women in order to become American citizens. The American wives convert to Islam. Then, they have Muslim children who are natural-born American citizens — but who are raised to hate America and to want to live under shari’a law. Then, these men expect their teenage American daughters to marry much older Muslim men from Egypt in arranged marriages. I know that Yasser wanted Amina to marry someone from Egypt.”

Arabs campaign for women to “Take off the Veil”

Organizer says “my hair is not a sex symbol,” Campaigners call for “Support Denmark, defend freedom”

A group of Arabic websites and blogs have launched an international campaign against the Muslim headscarf (hijab), arguing the move is a response to what they see as “intellectual terrorism” practised by strict Islamic groups and individuals.

The campaign is called “Take Off The Veil”, and was launched March 8, 2008 to coincide with International Women’s Day. ”My hair is not a sex symbol that I should be ashamed of, and my body is not a stage for men’s fantasies. I am a noble human being with my hair and body,” Dr. Elham Manea (photo above), one of the campaign’s leaders, wrote on the participating websites.

Manea, a professor of Yemeni descent and who works in Switzerland, said she believes the headscarf was never part of Islam and chose International Women’s Day for the campaign as she views the headscarf as a symbol of women’s oppression and to warn women deceived by Islamists into putting “this rag on their heads.”

One of the campaign’s leaders, Dr. Elham Manea, calls the veil “religious coercion” and says remaining silent allows extremist ideas to infiltrate Arab society.
